Course Description:

Do you need ideas on how to adapt The Interoception Curriculum for neurodivergent clients that are non-speaking? If so, this course is for you. Given the important role that interoception plays in self-regulation, health management and safety, providing a process of inner self-discovery in accessible ways becomes an important mission.

This course will provide attendees with an overview of how to provide a neurodiversity-affirming approach when supporting the interoception growth in all clients, focusing specifically on clients that are non-speaking. Discussion will include the importance of co-regulation and stabilization and why this provides the needed foundation for interoception growth. Learn how to better understand the autistic neurology and the common experience of confusion, chaos and change. Discover why predictability, sameness and routine is important and how to embed these important principals when presenting interoception-based supports. Several case studies to illustrate how The Interoception Curriculum is successfully used with non-speaking clients will be shared.

If you are ready to learn how to creatively modify interoception based supports for your neurodivergent clients, please join us. We look forward to seeing you in the course!
