Rest in Power: Carrie Ann Lucas, Bill Peace, and Ing Wong-Ward

From Disability Visibility Project: For More Info, Go Here…

2019 has been a rough year with the recent deaths of three amazing disabled people: Carrie Ann LucasBill Peace, and Ing Wong-Ward. All three were badass activists, generous, kind, and loving. I was lucky to know all three of them.

Carrie Ann, Bill, and Ing lived with fierce unapologetic pride rooted in the strong disability communities they were a part of. To me, this is a reminder to treasure the people around us, to be generous with our affection and care, and to appreciate the time we have right now. This also reminds me of a beautiful essay by Stacey Milbernabout our crip ancestors and the legacies they leave us.

I’m sad but filled with gratitude for their friendship over the years. One way to remember all the disabled people we love such as Carrie Ann, Bill, and Ing, is to continue telling their stories and keep fighting against ableism like hell. Below are some links about their lives.
